GOOD BYE!

Dear Marc, or rather dear people who read this, whoever you are, wherever you are and whatever your reason for reading the random ramblings of this beer slut on this page,

I'm taking a break.

Feel free to mail me at emi@lovegun.net if you'd like a mail whenever there's something to read here or somewhere else.

I'm walking into the world as a new woman as I'm shedding the responsibility of writing hundreds of meaningless letters to a celebrated man of fashion.

What next? Who knows? Suggestions are most welcome.

Mark your mail with letsmeetupforscones in the subject line.
That would make me feel great, almost popular.

love
-e

Åh, vad tråkigt! Din blogg var den första jag började läsa regelbundet, och jag kommer att sakna den.

this is so sad but between being homesick and probably just tiring of it you must want a new creative outlet.

we should all endeavour to find a great new thing for you to write about so we can keep reading you.

thank you!

So sad to see you go! I check your letter daily and it's always amusing and/or inspiring. Gook luck in your new endeavor, whatever it is!

Nu får du tid att skriva en bok som alla vi kommer att läsa när den kommer ut! Då kan vi sitta och skryta om att vi läste dig redan när du var en blogg. Prima.

Till dess kommer jag sakna breven till Marc. Mycket. Lovelove.

Im going to miss all your letters and look forward to the next project you do!
p.s. you should publish all your letters into a book, with pictures and everything! Marc himself would do the forward letter in the begining, it would be on the New York Times Best Sellers list and I would buy a copy for all my friends!

I will miss you something awful, E. LTMJ has been terrific fun. Much luck to you! Libby

I'll miss your posts but I can't wait to see what bigger and better things you're going to go on to...

I hope this break will be a short one! It was my husband who made me become addicted to your blog. I love your style of writing and the pics you sent from your home in Sweden. Your little girl and boy even make me think about having own kids! So cute they are!!!

Looking forward to reading from you and your family soon!

So I thought all these odds and ends you have been writing you were storing up for some grand essay. It all seemed to hold promise for disclosing all the secrets, all the mysteries of our lives. I wondered if what I was reading was a daily cryptic oriental euphemism the leading idea of which was obscure to me, but you would soon make it clear and the scales would fall from all our eyes…no?

e YOU ARE THE BEST. Daggers in my heart, I will miss you. Thank you so much for all the time and fun you put in to this. It has been such a joy to read your posts. They have been sketches of a magiclife far away for me and I will truly miss them. If you do-not start something soon we will all have to start our own 'letters to e' site - again thank you

This makes me so sad. You are the only blog I read. I used to work with lovely folks from Sweden and I miss them so much. Your clever, witty writing makes me think of them all the time. I wish you well and am hopeful to find you happily entertaining the world again soon!

Anonymous said...

I will miss your blog, as it is the only one I read. I'll probably still be around if/when you feel like writing something here again, it has sort of become a habit. I wish you the best of everything, take care and good luck with whatever you do.

E- I found your blog from a link on a web page called "Boing Boin - A Directory of Wonderful Things". Truely this blog has been a wonderful thing. As most of your readers say, it has been a sunny spot that I look forward to in my day.

Indeed you will be missed. Please do us all a favor. Go on to do great things. Continue to photograph your children and write about your days events, even in a personal journal. As we have enjoyed this glimps into your life (somewhat voyeuristically), you, A and your children will appreciate and cherish it in years to come.

Best Wishes

Oh E. :( I went on a little hiatus myself these past few weeks to return to this! I was really looking forward to your witty posts and new pictures of your beautiful children. I have followed from the beginning and I'll miss clicking your blog in my favorites every day. Marc is going to miss you too. I know we'll all be checking back to see if you've changed your mind. I cant meet for scones, but if I ever spot a perfect pair of MJ flats (not heels for your sanity!) I will send them across the pond.

But just getting these comments is enough to make me happy on the gloomiest day. Not to mention the e-mails. Like a friend of mine put it:
Emi, it's like you died and got to attend your own funeral.

Have you ever realized that when you buy readymade suits you get a choice of only a few colors & styles, also finding the perfect fit are quite difficult? Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.
