Failing that he didn't want a vanity plate at all. So for his second choice he entered NO PLATE.<BR/><BR/>Needless to say, after a while his license plates arrived reading NO PLATE.<BR/><BR/>Being a reasonable man he saw the humor in this and put the plates on his car.<BR/><BR/>In San Jose, CA, where he lived, traffic cops would enter NO PLATE on parking tickets for cars having, well, no plate.
